Tucked just beyond the rush of Canggu, Anita’s is a quiet place to slow down, eat well, and feel at home.
Born from the love story of an Italian man and an Indonesian woman, our home brings together an Indo-Italian slow food kitchen and four peaceful guest rooms under one roof.
This is a space built from love, where food is made with care and guests are welcomed like old friends. Come for a long lunch or stay a few days. Anita’s is for those who appreciate good food, real connection, and the beauty of simple things. We look forward to meeting you.

The Restaurant
Indo-Italian Slow Food, Made from Scratch
At Anita’s Casa, we make everything ourselves. From fresh pasta and sourdough to tomato sauce, charcuterie, and jams, everything comes straight from our kitchen. Our menu brings together the comfort of Italian cooking with the bold flavours of Javanese spices.
We use local ingredients whenever possible, and vegan dishes are available on request. Guests are welcome to enjoy the pool with a minimum spend on food and drinks.
The Rooms
Artisanal Stays, Crafted for Slow Living
Tucked into a quiet garden, our four guest rooms are built from antique Javanese wood and finished with natural materials. Each room opens onto the garden and pool and is fully accessible. This is a space designed for calm, comfort, and connection to nature.

Our Story
From Two Dishes to a Shared Life
Anita’s began with a love story between Christian, an Italian man with a deep love for food, and Anita, an Indonesian woman rooted in the land and its traditions. They met in Bali, drawn together by a shared sense of purpose, an openness to life, and a belief in the power of simple things done well.
In the early days, there were just two dishes and five tables. Christian cooked with ingredients he trusted: homemade pasta, fresh tomatoes, cured meats. Anita brought in the bold, soulful flavours of her Javanese heritage. Together, they created something new, something entirely their own.
Over time, that tiny kitchen grew into a home. Today, Anita’s is a reflection of their life together. A place to rest, to share a meal, and to feel welcomed not as a customer but as a guest.
You’ll still find Anita at the door, welcoming guests like old friends. Every dish is still made by hand, with the same belief they shared — that food, like love, should always be real.
